Thank you to everyone who came along and enjoyed the fun on the 24th July at the 2016 Strawberry Tea, held at Selmeston, East Sussex.
We had a lovely afternoon with great weather and lots of happy Beardies and their families – perhaps not quite as many as last year, but that didn’t diminish the fun!
Many thanks to Tony Teasdale for judging the Puppy Walk and Mary Jamieson for judging the Veterans’ Stroll for us. We didn’t have quite so many of oldies in attendance this year, so we lowered the age to 7 and had a ring full of lovely Beardies.
Games such as the Musical Sits, Water Retrieve and Higgledy-Piggledy Skittles provided much entertainment for those taking part and everyone watching. We were also pleased to be running the Working Tests for the first time at this event and as well as the Primary and Junior tests, also offered the Intermediate test. Many thanks to our judge, Jill Kevis, who was kept busy throughout the afternoon.
And of course the Strawberry Tea wouldn’t be complete without that all important tea! Many thanks to Dave & Barbara Woodwards for managing the catering – we had a lovely selection of sandwiches and cupcakes followed by delicious, local, strawberries and cream.
